Leadership Development Program for ServiceNow Platform Owners
Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Do I need to be a current Platform Owner to participate in the Leadership Development Program for ServiceNow Platform Owners?

A: No, you do not need to be a current Platform Owner to participate in the program.

While the program content is oriented to persons who currently have platform ownership responsibilities, anyone who is interested in learning about ServiceNow's platform, products, and technologies can benefit from active participation in the Leadership Development Program. This includes new users who are interested in becoming a Platform Owner or persons in other organizational roles such as administrators, developers, architects, process owners, business managers, and CxOs.

Q2: Do I need to join the Leadership Development Program from the very first session to participate?

A: No, you can join the program as a participant at any point in time of the delivery.

After completing your subscription sign-up to the Leadership Development Program, you will have immediate access to all of the on-demand content that has been published, as well as all the on-demand content that will be published from that point forward. You will also be added to the program community sites and receive invitations to attend the ongoing Live Event sessions (along with access to the recordings of prior sessions).

Q3: What is the format of the Leadership Development Program?

A: The Leadership Development Program is delivered across two formats of engagement.

The first is a 50-module series of recorded instructional videos published in a Learning Management System, available at the program portal, with peer collaboration about the recorded content conducted at a companion community portal. The second is an ongoing series of Live Event sessions that are streamed online at scheduled times. Program participants are encouraged to join the Live Event sessions for real-time topic discussions, and to ask general questions about the program content or anything else regarding the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Q4: How is the content of the Leadership Development Program published, and in what intervals?

A: The recorded instructional video content of the Leadership Development Program is published incrementally, with new material available daily.

The experience is similar to how you receive content that is published on YouTube channels, or viewing weekly television series episodes on Netflix. This manner of content publication allows the production team to keep information current in real-time, instead of publishing content that is already months old by the time it makes it to the web. It also creates a sustained learning experience for participants which is aligned to in-person discussions of the Live Event sessions.

Q5: Does the Leadership Development Program content replace other training courses?

A: No, the content of the Leadership Development Program does not replace other training courses.

The focus of the leadership program curriculum is on providing information that Platform Owners should know about or be aware of as they consider, plan, and run their ServiceNow operations. There will be direct coverage of the topics and products for which official training courses do exist. However, the Leadership Development Program discusses these course in the context of what is the information included in the training, and who within an organisation should be tasked with completing courses.

Q6: Is the Leadership Development Program content a one-time course?

A: Yes, and No. The Leadership Development Program is conducted in a yearly cycle.

The current edition of the program available for participation is the 2024 edition. This year’s edition focuses on presenting information as of the current ServiceNow release versions - the Washington DC release, and later in the year the planned Xanadu release. The 2025 edition of the program will focus on the products and capabilities of the Now Platform as of the planned Yokohama and Zurich releases.

Each annual edition is a one-time curriculum package available for participation by subscription. You can optionally choose to subscribe to each yearly edition.

Q7: What type of new content does the Leadership Development Program provide to participants?

A: All recorded instructional video content of the Leadership Development Program is unique material created by the ServiceNow experts of our content production team. Within and accompanying the video-based material are presentation decks, tutorial guides, informational summaries, and aggregated ServiceNow documents and web links of online resources.

The content of the program is presented in a single comprehensive narrative, providing a consistent experience of information sharing and explanation on all things about ServiceNow and its ecosystem.

Q8: Does the content of the Leadership Development Program contain any confidential information?

A: No. Information that is considered confidential by ServiceNow is identified to program participants, but the information details of these topics are not presented.

Program participants will be directed to engage with ServiceNow directly to acquire this information. As examples, ServiceNow considers the following to be confidential content: subscription pricing, products currently in a Controlled Go-to-Market (cGTM) release, future product development roadmaps, and select technical articles published on the ServiceNow Support website.

Q9: Is the content of the Leadership Development Program available for download or offline viewing?

A: Yes. Presentation decks, tutorial guides, informational summaries, and other materials created for the Leadership Development Program, as well as aggregated ServiceNow documents, are available for download from the program portal, library, and community.

The recorded instructional videos of the program content are not available for download or offline viewing. This material can be accessed in the program portal through the LMS application or secured streaming from a video platform partner.

Q10: Is a certification provided to participants upon completion of the Leadership Development Program?

A: Yes. A digital certificate of program completion is provided to all participants at the completion of each yearly edition of the Leadership Development Program, who have successfully passed an open-book (web) knowledge test of the full program curriculum.

Industry certifications is a topic that the Leadership Development Program will give measured guidance. While certifications are intended to confirm individual knowledge and capability, the reasons for and methods in which individuals may pursue certifications can undermine the authenticity of the certifications themselves.

Q11: Does the Leadership Development Program have a private community that is only available to program participants?

A: Yes, the program has a primary community site and a couple of secondary sites.

The primary community site for the Leadership Development Program, which is available only to program participants, is located on this website. The community portal can be accessed by the header link above.

The Leadership Development Program also operates community groups on LinkedIn and YouTube. The LinkedIn group is private; all subscribed program participations will be invited to join. The YouTube channel is an open one, however the video content posted there is not the informational videos of the program curriculum.

Q12: What is the Reference Library of the Leadership Development Program, and where is it located?

A: The Reference Library is an aggregated collection of direct hyperlinks to ServiceNow resources, documents, videos, and much more, across all the many web locations where that content is located. The library can be accessed by the header link above.

The Reference Library resolves a fundamental usability issue: to locate, access, and use all ServiceNow resources related to just one of the individual application products can require going to nearly ten different websites. The Reference Library provides Platform Owners with a single starting point for going out to these many web locations.

You can preview a read-only version of the ServiceNow Training library page here.

Q13: How often are the web links of the Reference Library updated?

A: The Reference Library is updated following availability of each new release version of the ServiceNow Now Platform, as new and updated resources related to the new versions are published.

Best effort is also made by the program team to update the Reference Library when new documents, courses, videos, etc. are published following significant occurrences, such as Knowledge conferences or other regional ServiceNow events.

Participant collaboration from the program community is also encouraged to assist in identifying web resources that would be desired for inclusion in the Reference Library.

Q14: How often are the Live Event sessions of the Leadership Development held, and where are they broadcasted?

A: The Live Event sessions are held weekly, broadcasted from a streaming platform partner. Program participants are provided with access information to the scheduled sessions and can join and leave as their availability allows for.

To maintain the exclusivity of the Live Event sessions, full scheduling and access details of the sessions are provided only to subscribed program participants in community site posts, and by email notifications for those that opt-in to receive that communication.

Q15: In what time zones are the Live Event sessions held?

A: The Live Event sessions are broadcast across a combination of times and days of the week, providing options for global time zones. In general, the coverage is:

Session A: midday in Europe/Africa, early evening Central Asia, evening in East Asia, late night Australia.

Session B: evening in Europe/Africa, morning in western USA, afternoon in western USA and South America.

Session C: morning in East Asia and Australia, late afternoon in western USA, evening in eastern USA and South America.

Q16: How is the included one-on-one consulting of the Leadership Development Program done?

A: Subscription to the Leadership Development Program includes personalized one-on-one consulting for the companies of program participants.

The process begins with a learning engagement to understand your specific objectives, interests, and any problems you might be facing. Following this, ongoing consulting support is provided through the program website, email, and Live Event sessions, ensuring continuous assistance and guidance tailored to your needs.

The consulting aspect of our program is designed to be engaging and responsive, encompassing two crucial elements (Subscription Status & Future Planning Roadmap) that support and enhance your leadership journey.

Q17: What are the subscription options that participants can choose from for the Leadership Development Program?

A: Participants subscribe to an edition of the Leadership Development Program that corresponds to the current calendar year in which content is being published.

For example, the currently available subscription package is the 2024 edition of the Leadership Development Program. Each full year subscription also includes access to the Reference Library until the end of the aligned calendar year.

Participants can alternatively choose to subscribe only to Reference Library access for a 12-month time period.

Q18: What is the pricing of each subscription option of the Leadership Development Program?

A: Pricing for the 2024 edition of the Leadership Development Program is $980 AUD (Australian Dollars). Pricing for 12-months access to the Reference Library is $120 AUD.

Price conversion to local global currencies is done by Stripe or PayPal processing at the time of transaction. The approximate currency conversion values can be determined by using xe.com. As a reference example, the full 2024 edition $980 AUD price currently converts to approximately $640 USD, $600 EUR, $875 CAD, and $515 GBP.

Participants retain access to the published content of their yearly edition beyond the end of the aligned calendar year.

Q19: How does the subscription pricing of the Leadership Development Program compare to other training options?

A: The yearly subscription pricing of the Leadership Development Program is less than the combined price of two on-demand mainline ServiceNow training courses.

On a daily basis, the program pricing is less than the price of a cup of coffee.

When compared to the ServiceNow experts programs, which have recently increased to $17,000 USD, the Leadership Development Program's parity of content topic coverage and depth of material information make it an unquestionable value investment.

Q20: How do the yearly editions of the Leadership Development Program compare to prior editions?

A: The yearly editions of the program present the curriculum based on the most current release versions of the Now Platform.

For 2023, the program presented the applications, products, technologies available as of the Utah and Vancouver release editions.

The 2024 edition presents the content as of the Washington DC and Xanadu releases.

The 2025 edition will present the content as of the Yokohama and Zurich releases.
